Surgical Suture is a medical device used by doctors and surgeons to close tissues after a surgery that provoked a wound or an injury.

The absorbable sutures are highly recommended for those surgeries that cannot be operated on after the initial surgery 

and so can be naturally absorbed by the human body.

(1)  Polyglycolic Acid Descriptions 

·                     Synthetic absorbable multifilament braided suture in a violet color

·                      Made of polyglycolic acid with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate coating

·                      Tissue reactivity in microscopic form is minimum

·                      Absorption occurs through progressive hydrolytic action, completed between 56-70 days.

·                     Color code: violet label

·                     Frequently used in tissue coaptation ties and ophthalmic procedures

(2) Polyglycolic Acid Parameters 

·                     Absorbable material;

·                     40cm, 45cm,75cm or 90cm length with single or double needles;

·                      Sterilized by E.O. Gas or Gamma and packed in aluminium foil

·                     Needle length and shape:1/2circle,3/8circle,5/8circle,1/4circle and length can be negotiable,

·                     Needle material is stainless steel NO.304 or NO.420

·                      Body of needle can be round, cutting or reverse cutting,

·                      Diameter of suture can be from USP10/0 to USP2

·                      A gap in aluminium foil is easy to be opened,

·                      For single use.

·                      5 years for stock.
